Male Fertility Supplement Questions

Why is Virnoux Male Fertility Supplement different than other fertility supplements out there?

It is the only fertility supplement that was specifically developed by fellowship-trained male fertility specialists with ingredients at doses scientifically shown to improve sperm DNA fragmentation and also sperm concentration (number), motility (movement), and semen volume.
Our Male Fertility Supplement includes specific ingredients at particular doses shown (per clinical research/literature) to improve your sperm. We do not have other formulations (or an extra capsule with more/higher doses of ingredients) for extra purchase, unlike many other supplements. This is why this is our only male fertility product - so that you are getting the best effect possible with one product. Our serving size is 3 capsules, which may seem like a lot, but it is to ensure you are getting all the ingredients required to have the best potential outcome possible.
It does not include any superfluous ingredients that have no effect on sperm health. It also doesn't have lower amounts/doses of ingredients like other products.
Our product is priced competitively to other supplements, as we feel that (similar to medical care) everyone should have the opportunity to obtain the best that science can offer.

What is the science behind the Virnoux Male Fertility Supplement and the specific ingredients in it?

Each ingredient below was chosen at the exact dosage as they were shown specifically in multiple top-tier clinical research studies to improve sperm quality and/or improve sperm DNA fragmentation.
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a molecule used by cells to maintain proper function of different chemical reactions within the body. CoQ10 is a powerful neutralizer of free radicals. Multiple studies over the past several decades have supported its use in improving sperm concentration, motility, and spontaneous pregnancy rates. Additionally, recent studies show that when taken at appropriately high concentrations, CoQ decreases sperm DNA fragmentation and increases antioxidant capacity in the seminal plasma.
The Amla berry (phyllanthus emblica) is one of nature’s most potent antioxidants. Native to south and southeast Asia, the Amla tree and fruit have been used for centuries in traditional medicine. In recent basic science studies focused on sperm, amla berry extract is found to decrease toxin-mediated sperm head abnormalities and potentially reduce free radical damage to sperm DNA.
Pomegranate extract (Punica Granatum) is a deciduous fruit native to middle and western Asia. Pomegranate extract is widely used for its antioxidant properties. In recent basic science fertility studies, Pomegranate was found to decrease oxidative stress damage and DNA damage during the process of spermatogenesis. This fruit also can also increase sperm concentration and motility.
Carnitine is an amino acid important in energy metabolism. When it comes to fertility, this compound has not only to improve sperm concentration and motility, but also can improve natural pregnancy rates as well pregnancy rates in those using assisted reproductive technology. Finally, studies show that carnitine can decrease sperm apoptosis (cell death) and DNA damage.
In addition to boosting immunity, Vitamin C can significantly increase sperm counts, motility, and morphology, and also protect against DNA damage. One study found that patients who supplemented Vitamin C had reduction of sperm DNA fragmentation by more than 50%. This vitamin also has been shown to improve fertilization rates of couples undergoing assisted reproductive technology.
Vitamin E protects the cell membrane against free radical damage and decreases sperm DNA fragmentation. In combination with other ingredients, Vitamin E has also been shown to improve sperm motility and morphology, and increase spontaneous pregnancy rates
Zinc is a chemical element that aids in cell growth and overall immunity. Zinc has been shown in basic science research to protect sperm against bacteria, and prevent DNA damage within the sperm themselves. Low zinc levels have been associated with a decreased ability for sperm to fertilize an egg, furthering its importance in the fertility process.
Selenium is another element that has strong anti-oxidant properties. At appropriate doses, Selenium supplementation can improve sperm count, concentration, motility, and morphology. When combined with Vitamin E, Selenium can improve spontaneous pregnancy rates. In people with low levels of Selenium, additional supplementation can reduce sperm DNA fragmentation.

How do I know if I am a candidate for taking Virnoux? And when should I start taking it?

Short answer - if you’re interested in fathering a pregnancy, then you are a candidate. Although there are certain factors that put certain people at higher risk for decreased sperm quality, anyone interested in fathering a pregnancy will benefit from overall improved sperm quality. The ingredients in Virnoux Male Fertility Supplement have been shown to improve not only sperm DNA fragmentation (damage to sperm DNA) which can be caused by many unknown factors, but also improve sperm quality (increase the number of sperm, improve how well the sperm moves, and improve the shape of your sperm). Therefore, Virnoux can help you regardless of where in your journey you are - whether you have yet to start trying for a pregnancy yet, or if you’ve been trying for a long time.
We recommend starting about 3 months before you start to try for a pregnancy. This is because the sperm creation process (spermatogenesis) takes about 70-80 days, and so it will take at least that long for the positive effects of Virnoux on sperm to start to take place.
Avoid taking other supplements/vitamins with the supplement. If you are taking other supplements (like a multivitamin), stop taking this while you are taking Virnoux in order to ensure you are not ingesting a higher dose than medically necessary of certain ingredients.

I haven’t started trying for a pregnancy yet, but plan to in the near future. Is Virnoux something I should consider taking?

Absolutely. Studies have shown that in the last 50 years, there has been a steady decline in sperm quantity and quality. However, we also know that the higher your sperm numbers are, and the better your sperm quality is, the better chances you have for achieving pregnancy quickly.
In addition, there is increasing data showing that there are many known and unknown factors causing sperm DNA damage - even in men with normal appearing semen.
Therefore, prior to starting the journey for pregnancy, Virnoux is an easy yet scientific way to prime your sperm for success. This is due to the research-backed ingredients which have been shown at these doses in the literature to improve sperm quantity/quality AND reduce potential sperm DNA damage.

I had my semen checked (semen analysis) and it was normal. Or alternatively, only my semen volume was low, but the sperm looked fine. Should I still take Virnoux Male Fertility Supplement?

Yes - this is an important point. Even with a normal semen analysis, improving your sperm number, quality, and semen volume as much as possible is important and can improve your chances for success.
In addition and more importantly, unexplained male fertility is a scenario when a couple has had a normal fertility evaluation and continues to have issues with pregnancy - and this occurs 27% of the time. Abnormal DNA fragmentation is found in up to 26% of these patients.

How long can I take Virnoux Male Fertility Supplement?

We recommend taking Virnoux Male Fertility Supplement for at least 6 months - however, you can take it as long as needed (or as short as needed) until pregnancy is achieved! Ideally, we would recommend starting 3 months before you start to try for a pregnancy and continue to take it daily until you’ve achieved pregnancy, but you can start it at any point in your fertility journey.
Again, avoid taking other supplements/vitamins with the  Male Fertility Supplement. If you are taking other supplements (like a multivitamin), stop taking this while you are taking Virnoux in order to ensure you’re not getting too much of certain ingredients.

Where are the supplements manufactured?
